The San Antonio Fire and Police Pensioners’ Association is a non-profit corporation established to unite the pensioners of the Firemen and Policemen’s Pension Fund of San Antonio, Texas, for the benefit of their common welfare.
Membership in the association is open to all of the retired members of the City of San Antonio Fire and Police Departments who are receiving pensions from the Fire and Police Pension Fund, San Antonio, and the adult beneficiaries thereof who are receiving pensions therefrom.
Becoming a member of the SAFPPA is a two-step process because there are two organizations involved.
1. |
To become a dues-paying member of the pensioners association, retirees need to go through the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund also. You will need to talk to a Benefits Specialist by calling 210-534-3262. They will give you the Dues Deduction form requiring your signature for dues to the pensioners’ association. Membership in SAFPPA becomes active when we receive your first payment from the deduction. |
|
2. |
The Pensioners’ Association then requires applicants to fill out a form available at this link on their website. |
The SAFPPA holds its meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Currently the meetings are being held at the pension fund’s office, 11603 W. Coker Loop, Suite 201 | San Antonio, TX 78216.
